How can I avoid receiving contact requests?

Viadeo is both a network and a personal showcase which allows you to be seen and helps you find others.

Therefore, most members try to maximize their online visibility.  That’s why, by default, you can be contacted by any member of Viadeo. If for any reason you want to keep a low profile within the network, you can change your Contact Management settings.

  • Mouse-over your photo in the upper right-hand corner and click Your account,
  • Click Contact management in the right column,

  • Change the following settings to your liking:

  • Accept or refuse contact requests.

  • Automatically accept requests from people you may know.

  • Accept messages from all Viadeo members or from your direct and/or indirect contacts only.

  • Enter a message for members who send you contact requests.

  • Click Save.

Tip: you can manage close to 40 other visibility settings on the Privacy page.
